Film Location
Broughton Castle has been selected for a wide range of film shoots, including feature films, TV dramas, TV commercials as well as fashion and other photo shoots.
It is an ideal film location being only just over one hours’ drive from West London. Exteriors and interiors provide a range of different location opportunities – unspoilt parkland, gatehouse, moat, battlements, fortified manor house / castle, chapel, great hall, picture gallery, library, dining room, armour, and wonderful gardens including the formal Ladies’ Garden. A range of styles are apparent – mediaeval, Tudor / Elizabethan, and some gothic interiors.
We are experienced at working with film and photo shoots, and can provide tea room, ‘green rooms’, on-site parking for coaches and other film location vehicles, 3 phase power, and advice on local accommodation. The North Oxfordshire market town of Banbury is only 2 ½ miles away, just next to Junction 11 of the M40.
Notable previous film and other location hires include:
The Crown (2019)
Wolf Hall – filmed 2014, showing BBC2 six episodes, Jan / Feb 2015
Jane Eyre (2011)
Shakespeare in Love (1998)
The Madness of King George (1994)
Three Men and a Little Lady (1987)
As well as photo shoots for Love magazine, Boden, Hackett and Johnnie Walker.
