WHEN CAN WE VISIT?

We offer guided tours to groups throughout the year by appointment on any day but are also open to the public (and groups) on a free flow basis from 2-5pm on Wednesdays, Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays from 1 April until 30 September. The Castle, Garden and Tearoom all open at 2pm.  Last admission to the castle is 4.30pm.  The Garden and Tearoom are open until 5pm. The tearoom serves drinks and cakes. Broughton Castle is 2.5 miles from the centre of Banbury, 3 miles from Junction 11 of the M40.

HOW DO WE BOOK? DO WE HAVE TO BOOK IN ADVANCE FOR AN OPEN DAY?

You can book online. April and May tickets are released on 14 March, June and July will be released on 14 May and August and September will be released on 14 July.  Booking online guarantees the time you will be admitted to the castle.  If you prefer not to book in advance, you can just turn up and we will get you into the castle as soon as there is a space (you can visit the garden and tearoom first if there is a wait time).

IF I HAVE A 2 for 1 VOUCHER HOW DO I BOOK ONLINE?

If you have a voucher that permits 2 for 1 entry please book one full adult (£10) and then ensure that you bring the voucher with you on the day of your visit (and check it is still valid before you book) to gain free entry for the second full paying adult ticket.  If you do not have a valid voucher you will be required to purchase another ticket for £10 when you arrive.

HOW DO I  VISIT IF I AM A MEMBER OF HISTORIC HOUSES?

Please ensure that you bring your membership card with you to gain entry without paying on any open day.  You can also book in advance to guarantee an entry slot.

DO I HAVE TO PRINT MY ONLINE TICKETS BOUGHT IN ADVANCE?

You do not need to print the tickets that are emailed to you but it is recommended that you screen shot the ticket (the whole ticket please, not just the code) as the signal can be unreliable at times.

Coaches and cars enter the grounds through the main gate by the lodge and then turn first left into the parking area next to the church. There is no parking charge for paying visitors. Coach drivers are permitted free entry to the Castle (open days and private tours) but all refreshments must be paid for.
