Following on from the outstanding success of previous events we are delighted to announce that this year’s Broughton Castle Sportive which will be held on Sunday July 7th, 2019  will once again will be based in the splendid grounds of Broughton Castle. This event is now well established in the Sportive calendar with 700 riders enjoying the experience last year.

There are 3 fantastic rides which are designed to suit all levels of ability and stamina. All the rides start and finish in the grounds of Broughton Castle. There is also a 5 mile family friendly ride which creates an opportunity for all ages to participate in this exciting event and full details for all events are shown on the event website or riders can register on the day in the grounds of Broughton Castle.


Team Trophy Update


If you enjoy cycling with others as a team, then our “Team Rider Challenge” this year should appeal to you. The team rider challenge is available to riders on both the 100 mile and 50-mile routes. A trophy will be presented to each winning team.

To promote real teamwork within the group – whether that be encouraging a flagging team member up the final climb or fixing a puncture asap en route, the winning team will be based on the time of the fourth rider home. To enter the “Team Rider Challenge”, you must be a team of  minimum of 4and maximum 6,all cycling the same route and have entered your Team Name when registering for Broughton Castle Sportive 2019.


Cotswold Monster   160 km/100 miles This Sportive route will be one of the most challenging rides you will complete this year.

Cost £30 for pre-registration or £35 on the day.


Cotswold Classic   80 km/50 miles A lovely route designed for the more regular cyclist who is accustomed to riding challenging and hilly terrain.

Cost £25 for pre-registration or £30 on the day.


Cotswold Tour 32 km/20 miles This route will suit people who are new to sportive cycling, but who still want a good cycling challenge which they can enjoy with other cyclists.

Cost £20 for pre-registration or £30 on the day.
