Deborah Jarman, of The Inspiration Exchange, was commissioned by Michael Newman-Horwell, the Historic House Education Officer, to set up and deliver two twilight INSET sessions for local primary and secondary school teachers at Broughton Castle in June 2004.

This was one short project out of a total of six in a Heritage Lottery Funded joint partnership between the Historic Houses Association and English Heritage.

As part of the 2004 sessions, Deborah Jarman developed schemes of work for Science and Art for Key Stage One and Two, as well as a Broughton Castle trail — all of which she has kindly made available for teachers to download and copy for school use.
