8-11 July 2009 from 6.30pm- A Shakespeare Summer Soirée An open air event in the romantic grounds of Broughton Castle.

Imagine an evening of Jacobean entertainment from the best in the business!

Bring your own food, drinks and blankets for an exclusive, very unique picnic in Broughton Castle's beautiful grounds...an amble around which will find you immersed in your favourite scenes from Shakespeare's greatest comedies!

Performed throughout the evening by accomplished players, you may witness raucous verbal duels from a Comdey of Errors; revel in the finest scenes from A Midsummer Night's Dream; relish in the exquisite banter from The Taming of The Shrew; engage with the genius of Shakespeare's most famous clowns; and much more including period dance, live music and song.
